Inter Milan take on Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus on Saturday in the Derby d'Italia amid rumors that bad boy striker Mauro Icardi could be joining the Old Lady in a huge swap deal at the end of the season.
Icardi's future at the San Siro club has been in doubt all season, with problems including fractious relationships with teammates and fans contributing to stalling talks over a new contract, which had been organized by his former showgirl wife Wanda Nara, who has also been a reported caused of numerous rows.
His troubles culminated in February when Nara's loose-lipped rant on Italian TV program 'Tiki Taka' led to the 26-year-old being stripped of the Inter captain's armband, fueling talks of a move away, with Chelsea leading the group of teams reportedly interested in acquiring his signature.
According to the newspaper La Repubblica, Juventus are also one of those teams and could be tempted into offering one of either Gonalzo Higuain, currently on loan at Chelsea, Paulo Dybala or Joao Cancelo plus money to force a move for the Argentinian.
However, despite the transfer talk, Nara has been adamant in recent weeks that she and her husband are "happy" in Milan and are "100% staying", despite an incident where fans pelted her with objects as she made her way to a match.
At the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Saturday, Inter play host to Juventus and Icardi will be eager to impress should he start, going up against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Moise Kean, whom he could join in the Juventus attack next season.
Juve have already wrapped up the Serie A title, their 8th-straight Scudetto, a 2-1 win over Fiorentina handing them the 34th title in the club's history. Amid his own transfer rumors, Ronaldo announced he was 1,000% staying at the club he joined from Real Madrid in last summer.
A win for third-placed Inter will see them keep the pressure on second-spot Napoli and give put even more daylight between them and cross-town rivals AC Milan in fourth.
