mo4ch:>'No human can stop me running': Caster Semenya defiant after winning 800m at Diamond League | Mo4ch News

South African athlete Caster Semenya has won the 800m Doha Diamond League race two days after losing her Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) case against the IAAF over limiting testosterone levels in female runners.

Double Olympic champion Semenya won the race just two days after CAS rejected her challenge to IAAF rules to limit testosterone levels in female runners.

After the win in the Qatari capital, her 30th in a row, Semenya quelled rumors over her speculated retirement at the age of just 28.

"I'm here to perform, I'm here to show people, you know, the world, that anything is possible if you believe," she told BBC Sport.

"Actions speak louder than words. When you are a great champion, you always deliver.

"It's up to God. God has decided my life, God will end my life; God has decided my career, God will end my career. No man, or any other human, can stop me from running."

The race was Semenya's final track meeting before the rules she went against, which dictate athletes with differences of sexual development (DSD) must take medication to compete in track events from 400m to a mile or change their discipline, come into place on May 8.

Earlier, Semenya had posted a cryptic tweet hinting she may retire from running, but answered "hell no" when asked by reporters would she take medication to allow her to compete in the 800m.
