MOSCOW, 22 MAY — RT’s coverage of the Yellow Vest movement in France has been selected as a finalist for the Golden Nymph in the category “Live Breaking News” at this year’s Monte-Carlo Television Festival. RT will compete against entries by CNN, ITV, and Al Jazeera English.RT correspondent Charlotte Dubenskij reported live from among the demonstrators on the riots that erupted on the streets of France in December. During the ensuing clashes with the Yellow Vests, police deployed water cannon, tear gas, and rubber bullets. Dubenskij was previously hit by tear gas while covering the protests in November 2018.
