The Brexit Party has blacklisted Channel 4 News, dishing out a 6-week access ban preventing them from covering events, leading to accusations of press censorship and calls for other broadcasters to boycott the Euroskeptic group.According to Benjamin de Pear, editor of Channel 4 News, his media outlet was “unaware” of the ban until they broadcast an investigation into Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage’s relationship with entrepreneur Arron Banks on Thursday. In it they claimed that Farage had been “bankrolled” to the tune of £450k by Banks.De Pear insists that “until then [broadcast of investigation] we had full access, including to Farage.”The temporary blacklisting of Channel 4 News has led to calls on Twitter for other broadcasters to boycott the Brexit Party in a show of solidarity.
