Published time: 22 Apr, 2019 23:26A small plane has been reported missing after what was supposed to be a 15-minute flight from Statesville, North Carolina to Twin Lakes Airport. The plane was awaited by its owner but never arrived.The plane’s owner reported it missing when he arrived at Twin Lakes to meet it, after authorizing a pilot to fly the aircraft from Statesville – only to find neither plane nor pilot at the destination. Civil Air Patrol and friends of the plane’s owner are currently searching in the air, though police have not yet classified the aircraft as stolen.The owner watched the plane depart around 9am Monday morning.
