The Sporting Kansas City star will not start for Bruce Arena’s side despite scoring in his two matches with the U.S. national team
Dom Dwyer will come off the bench for the U.S. national team in their Gold Cup group-stage match against Martinique.
Dwyer, who recently secured U.S. citizenship, has scored in both his appearances for the nation, including a goal in the team’s opening draw with Panama.
But coach Bruce Arena has decided to go in a different direction with his forwards, naming Juan Agudelo to the starting XI alongside Jordan Morris.

Arena made a total of eight changes to his lineup from Saturday’s match against Panama, with only goalkeeper Brad Guzan, defender Omar Gonzalez and midfielder Kellyn Acosta starting again.
Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan is making his U.S. men’s national team debut.
