North Korea is calling a recent practice bombing by two U.S. B-1B bombers on the Korean peninsula a “reckless” provocation.
North Korea state media criticized the U.S. for “reckless military provocations” in a commentary Sunday in the ruling party’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper, according to The Associated Press.
The comments come after North Korea announced last week it tested an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.
President Trump later said North Korea is behaving dangerously and warned of possible “severe” consequences.
“I think we’ll just take a look at what happens over the coming weeks and months with respect to North Korea,” he said during a press conference in Poland.
“It’s a shame that they’re behaving this way, but they are behaving in a very, very dangerous manner and something will have to be done about it.”
