A gunman killed three people early Wednesday at an Alabama mobile home park, and remains on the loose.
Kenneth Dion Lever, 52, escaped into the woods following the shootings in the Gardendale area.
The gunman has blond hair and is wearing a camouflage shirt and blue jeans, according to AL.com. The victims were two adult women and one adult man, the news website reported, and authorities believe the shootings were domestic related.
Cops say Lever’s vehicle was found on the backside of the mobile home park, according to AL.com.
The search had been focused in woods near the Peachtree Crossings mobile home community, but cops now believe Lever is no longer in that area.
Lever, who has also lived in Florida, has an extensive history of arrests. He was to face trial in Pennsylvania in September for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, according to court records.
A protection order was issued against him in December in Alabama, according to AL.com. Lever’s wife or ex-wife said he was abusing her 11-year-old daughter.
The wife or ex-wife said her daughter “has a different disposition when she returns home.”
“She is very clingy to me and will not let me leaver her,” the woman said, according to AL.com. “She wants to sleep in my bed and she wants to sleep with the lights on.”
