Former Texas Tech receiver Tony Brown transferring to CU Buffs

Receiver Tony Brown, who played the past two seasons at Texas Tech, announced on Twitter on Monday that he will transfer to CU.

“… Talking with my folks I have decided to take my education and athletics to the University of Colorado,” Brown wrote in a statement on Twitter.

CU co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach Darrin Chiaverini recruited Brown to Texas Tech in 2015 and coached him that season with the Red Raiders. Brown’s head coach at La Mirada (Calif.) High School was former CU quarterback Mike Moschetti.

In two seasons at Tech, Brown caught 27 passes for 378 yards and one touchdown. Brown is planning to enroll at CU in January and be a part of the 2018 recruiting class. He would have two years to play with the Buffs.
