Not much is known about the events leading up to the incident, which took place at Dallas’ Clutch Bar. Police confirmed that no arrests have been reported.
The department released a statement confirming an investigation was ongoing, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network:

Dallas PD says it is investigating an alleged assault Sunday night. No arrests made, no suspect listed, no mention of Ezekiel Elliott. https://t.co/UHZtVR51TJ
Fisher’s account of the evening, as told to him by multiple sources, is that Elliott was involved in an altercation where another person was punched. Police and an ambulance arrived on the scene; it is unclear if anyone was injured.
Elliott is currently under NFL investigation for alleged incidents of domestic abuse against a woman in 2016. The league gave the reigning Rookie of the Year a detailed report on its findings over the weekend, and Elliott was preparing a response before this incident became public.
Elliott also received negative publicity when he pulled a woman’s shirt down in public at a St. Patrick’s Day party in March. Schefter reported the NFL could look to suspend Elliott for one or two games under its personal conduct policy, highlighting his multiple off-field transgressions.
“The NFL is looking to pin something on him,” a source told Schefter.
“I would rather it not drag on this long,” Elliott said in January. “If there was something to find, which there’s not, they would’ve found it by now. The police did a very thorough investigation. It just seems like they’re dragging their feet right now. Who knows, man? I’m just ready for it to end.”
