The 20-year-old Brazilian had to receive life-saving measures after being pulled out of the water at Lake Tahoe
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Matheus Silva is in critical condition after a swimming incident at Lake Tahoe in Nevada, the club confirmed Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Brazilian, on loan to San Jose’s USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC, received life-saving resuscitation measures at the scene after being pulled out of the water.
Silva was then taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
Signed by San Jose in July 2015, Silva has made four appearances over three MLS seasons.
