The Brazilian defender is believed to be closing on a move to the Etihad Stadium, but is currently in his homeland with a former Barcelona colleague
Dani Alves may be closing in on a move to Manchester City, but he is currently in Brazil playing beach volleyball with Neymar.
The 34-year-old full-back has been freed from his contract at Serie A champions Juventus, allowing him to take on a new challenge this summer.
He is expected to open a new chapter in his illustrious career in the Premier League, with a deal to reunite him with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium in the pipeline – with Goal revealing that a two-year contract was agreed in June.
For now, though, Alves is enjoying spending time with another former Barcelona colleague as he relaxes during the off-season break and puts talk of his future to the back of his mind.
Alves and Neymar were recently among those in attendance at the lavish wedding of Lionel Messi to Antonella Roccuzzo in Argentina.
They have taken the opportunity to extend their time in South America before returning to Europe for pre-season training.
Neymar will be heading back to Camp Nou looking to help Barca wrestle the Liga title and Champions League crown back from arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Alves, meanwhile, will be hoping to add to his enviable trophy collection wherever he ends up, with a potential move to City offering him a shot at Premier League and European glory.
