According to The Miami Herald, Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh will delay his attempt to come back from a series of crippling medical setbacks. While Bosh has repeatedly said he wants to return this season, he now appears to be setting his sights on the 2017-18 NBA season instead.
Bosh’s injury struggles
Bosh had always been known as a durable player in his basketball career until the 2015 NBA All-Star break. During this period, Bosh was admitted to a hospital to get testing on his lungs. It was later determined that he had a blood clot on one of his lungs, prematurely ending his 2015 season.
He returned slowly to the court in 2016, but around the same time of the year, another blood clot appeared, this time on one of Bosh’s legs, again ending his season. In the face of these blood clots, many have called for Bosh to end his illustrious career to protect his health, a stand Bosh has repeatedly fought against. The Miami Heat organization refused to medically clear him at the start of this season’s training camp, likely ending his time with the team.
