Three who starred on Day 5 of Broncos training camp:
De’Angelo Henderson, RB. After missing Sunday’s practice with a “tweaked” ankle, the rookie made his presence felt early in Monday’s practice. He took a handoff and sprinted right early in practice and finished his run by lowering his shoulder into cornerback Aqib Talib and knocking him to the ground. “For a shorter, stockier guy, he can get through narrow holes,” coach Vance Joseph said.
Marlon Brown, WR. The veteran who is battling for a spot on the receiving corps made one of the top grabs of training camp. As he adjusted to catch an underthrown deep pass from Trevor Siemian down the seam Monday, Brown fell to his back. But that didn’t keep him from hauling in the pass just before it hit the grass.
Brandon Marshall, LB. On the first possession of the opening team period, Marshall burst into the backfield and gobbled up a running back just as he received the handoff. Joseph has praised the performance of Marshall early in camp.

Quotables from Day 5 of camp:
OT Garett Bolles, on protecting the quarterback: “My quarterback is like my wife. If you touch her then you’re in trouble.”
Special teams coach Brock Olivo, on rookie Isaiah McKenzie responding to dropping a punt: “He dropped a punt, which is an unusual occurrence for him. He’s usually spot on. I don’t know if you saw it, but he was out here and he probably caught 50 punts (after practice). That’s the kind of kid he is. He’s a budding pro. We’re happy about that.”
ILB Todd Davis, on the Broncos’ offensive line: “I think that they’re coming out and they’re showing us that they want to fight this year. I’m definitely excited. I love the push back. I love seeing them willing to fight.”
