Emmanuel Macron’s justice minister has handed in his resignation – making him the third French minister to do so since Monday, French media report.
François Bayrou, leader of Modem, announced the decision to AFP news agency on Wednesday.
Modem, allied to Mr Macron’s La République en Marche (LREM) party, is subject to an inquiry into claims that it used EU funds to pay party workers.
Sylvie Goulard and Richard Ferrand resigned as ministers this week.
