The 18-year-old American entered in the 77th minute of Schalke’s season-ending draw at Ingolstadt.
Move over Christian Pulisic – there is a new American teenager in the Bundesliga.
Weston McKennie, 18, made his professional debut for Schalke 04 at Ingolstadt on Saturday in the club’s final match of the Bundesliga season.
McKennie entered the match in the 77th minute, replacing Donis Advijaj in the Royal Blues’ midfield. With Schalke down a man, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

It was the first appearance in Schalke’s gameday squad for McKennie and fellow American teenager Haji Wright, who didn’t see any game action.
Both players impressed for Schalke’s U-19 side this season: Wright scored 12 goals in 21 matches this campaign, while McKennie netted four in 21 games.
Schalke did not allow the duo, along with fellow U-19 star Nick Taitague, to be a part of Tab Ramos’ U-20 World Cup squad after being called up, much to the U.S. boss’ chagrin.
