The wait for tickets to the 2017 Rocky Mountain Showdown is nearly over.
Colorado State announced Wednesday that tickets for the annual college football match-up between the Rams and Colorado Buffaloes will go on sale July 12. The game will kickoff at Denver’s Sports Authority Field at 6 p.m. Sept. 1.
Single-game pricing for the showdown starts at $35, but CSU students can purchase their tickets for a discounted price of $20. Information on how to claim student tickets will be made available in August.
The attendance of the Rocky Mountain Showdown has increased in five consecutive years, as last season’s game drew a crowd of 69,850 — the largest since 2003 (76,219). The 34,167 tickets purchased by Rams fans last season marked an increase for the fourth-straight year.
The fall match-up will mark the 17th consecutive year that the game has been played in Denver (1998). The Buffs lead the all-time series 64-22-2.
Colorado State will open up their season Aug. 26 at home against the Oregon State Beavers.
